  4. Loved (and continue to love) your art from the moment my best friend introduced me to it. I must ask though, what sort of wood materials do you use? I remember in past posts from your previous blog that you make all your boards. At least according to the pictures. Any tips or instructional books or sites on how they are made? Do you use masonite or MDF? Is that plywood glued on a wood frame? The term 'wood panel' consists of lots of variables depending on the artist's preferences. Any advice would be great. I go back and forth between MDF and masonite, though I paint with oils.

    1. i use to cut my own wood panels but they would slightly warp if unframed.
so for the past couple years ive been getting my custom panels from Duho Studios in LA. Uncradled Cherry and sometimes Walnut wood.

  5. Those Hint Mint designs look wonderful! And woah look at that they're available here in the Philippines too.

Also, I've always been curious... How often do you work on your art and for how long? I mean, do you work everyday?

    1. i TRY to work every week day.
      hours are inconsistent though.
if things are going well i can work throughout the afternoon and night.
and then maybe the next day i will take it slightly easier.
too many hours/days of deep concentrating is too exhausting.

  6. I really hope Hint Mint really stocks up on piles of the box set. I wouldn't be surprised if the thing sells out the minute it's released. Oh they better pay you well for this! =X

Also...are collectors planning to eat the mints or just leave them be? lol. I might take one of each just to try them out but I'd probably just get another box set just for that. It's odd and amazing how your work can transform a lowly tin mint case into something precious. @_@

  7. Those look so beautiful! You should have prints made of them; they would look great as novelties. Besides, I know people like me who'd lose keys, let alone mint tins, if they were in their pockets.

The box just makes the mints look tastier.
